Utilizing a wide range of music styles, contemporary dance gives students a chance to explore their own style and tell a story through their movement. Often combining elements of other dance styles such as jazz, ballet, modern, and even hip hop, contemporary dance also incorporates creative and improvisational movement. The students perform this versatile style of dance while enhancing their creativity and self-expression. This dance style is not usually recommended for beginners or students under the age of 10.
