Ballet is the foundation of dance technique and is carried over to most other dance styles. Through ballet, dancers are inspired to refine the skills necessary to grow as dancers. Ballet improves strength, agility, flexibility, and balance, all while increasing the student’s focus, discipline and body awareness. Students are taught to use proper posture and poise, and to present themselves in a graceful manner. Ballet dance requires students to channel their energy in a positive way, and is an excellent dance form for both male and female students alike.
